With the NFL’s season ending, some NFL owners and players have already started planning for next season, which begins on Sept. 1.
Some of the biggest decisions include: • The New Orleans Saints and Washington Redskins are expected to play the Super Bowl on Feb. 1 in St. Louis.
• The Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers will play the NFC championship game in Chicago.
• And, of course, the Dallas Cowboys will host Super Bowl XLIX on Feb 1 in Glendale, Ariz.
• Some of these teams will play in the preseason.
The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks are scheduled to play on Jan. 3 in St Louis.
The Washington Redskins will host the preseason opener on Jan 6 in Seattle.
The Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs will play on January 29 in Salt Lake City.
• NFL owners have been working on their next plans for the past month, and the league’s board of governors is expected to announce the winners of its next election in March.
There is no word yet on whether the league will extend the deadline for the new collective bargaining agreement, or if the new CBA will come into effect at the start of the season.
